Debra Nicholson grew up in Northwest Ohio and wanted nothing more than to get away from there. She did get away, but in an unforeseen (unforeseen in her youth) twist of fate, she ended up back right where she started. While raising three children, she earned her MFA in Fiction (2008), and an MA in English Literature and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies (2010), from Bowling Green State University. In 2012, she began ballroom dancing, and more recently, belly dancing, and in 2014 she took a life-changing trip to India. She seeks to combine her interests—writing, traveling, dancing, spiritual investigation, among many other passions, and those yet to be discovered–into something creatively beautiful: a life well lived.
